THE SUMMER CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES, BAGUIO CITY

It all starts out with an urge to be somewhere that we’re not.

My First Ever Out of Town

THE SUMMER CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES

Baguio City

Traveling is always one of the things a person should consider on his/her bucket list. Traveling internationally or domestic should be considered. In the Philippines, one of the well-known destinations is the so called “summer capital of the Philippines” which is Baguio City. The cold city attracts travelers, it is a city in the mountainous area of the Northern Luzon, Philippines. We may think how lucky that a tropical country has an area where it is cold.

It was my first time going out of town, usually we just travel around the area of Rizal. So going out of town is a big deal to me, I was so excited, to the point that I can’t sleep. My things are packed early as a week before the trip, making sure that everything was ready and in place. Bring lots of outfits, OOTD’s (outfit of the day), or maybe I should call it, outfit of the decade, cause’ I didn’t notice that I over packed.

Remembering the time that me and my family got there, it was the time where there is a typhoon, the temperature reached 22°F to 23°F, which makes the city even colder than the usual 56°F to 75°F. It was almost the new year’s eve since we go there on December 30 and got back the night after, December 31. We don’t have any itinerary actually, so we just go around where our hired driver suggested to us.

I enjoyed every second of it, we go to the:

BELL CHINESE CHURCH,

BENCAB MUSEUM,

THE BAGUIO CATHEDRAL,

SM BAGUIO, that doesn’t even have an AC, can you believe that, a mall that is not airconditioned.

and of course the night market! Where we can buy a lot of good finds for an “ukay” some of the items are even new, it has the original tags.

Overall I can say that I have loved travelling more than I expect myself to, now it motivates me to do my studies and continue the tourism course. Give my family more trips and travel them around the world.
